Niagara Concludes Road Trip On Monday At Arkansas State

The Niagara Purple Eagles will wrap up their six-game road journey on Monday night against the Arkansas State Red Wolves at 8:05 p.m. eastern.

The Purple Eagles' season-long road trip wraps up in Jonesboro, Ark. on Monday, the program's first-ever game in the "Natural State". Niagara is coming off of a high octane game versus the Northwestern State Demons on Saturday where the Purple Eagles fell 107-100, despite scoring a season-high 100 points. Three Purple Eagles were in double figures as NU had its highest scoring output in a non-overtime game since Nov. 2008.

Antoine Mason led all scorers with 33 points to increase his nation's leading scoring output to 31.6 points per game through seven games. Mason scored 26 in the second half for his fifth straight 20-plus second half. Marcus Ware finished with Niagara's first double-double of the season by scoring a season-best 20 points and grabbing a career-high 11 boards. Senior Marvin Jordan netted a season-high 19 points, including going 6-for-6 from the free throw line.

Tipoff Tidbits
• Antoine Mason LEADS the nation in scoring with 31.6 points per contest and has scored at least 30 points in six of seven games this season.
• Niagara LEADS the MAAC in scoring with 84.4 points per game and second in turnover margin at +1.29.
• Rayvon Harris secured 10 rebounds at Northwestern State for a career-best. Harris is averaging 8.3 points per game and 5.0 rebounds per game in the last four games.
• The Purple Eagles will play their next five games in Western New York (four at home and one neutral site game in Buffalo). Niagara's next road trip will be in Jan. 2014.

• Antione Mason is LEADING the nation in scoring at 31.6 points per game.
• Mason has six 30-point games this season, including the last five games.

Mason Quickly Moving Up NU All-Time Scoring List
• Antoine Mason entered the top-20 all-time scorers list at Niagara on Nov. 30.
• Mason, which started the season 38th on the list, is currently 19th and is three points away from moving ahead of Lorenzo Miles ('07) for 18th all-time.  

Century Mark
• Niagara scored 100 points against Northwestern State to reach the century mark for the first time since Nov. 11, 2011 when the Purple Eagles defeated Central Connecticut State, 102-93 in double overtime.
• The 100 points in regulation were the most since beating Hartford 103-63 on Nov. 29, 2008.

Ware's Double-Double
• Marcus Ware recorded his first career double-double in Niagara's setback at Northwestern State on Nov. 30.
• Ware, who had 18 points and nine rebounds in the first half, finished with a season-high 20 points and career-high 11 rebounds. 
• It was the first double-double of the season by a Purple Eagle and first since Ameen Tanksley vs. Iona on Jan. 13, 2013
