NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Niagara men's soccer team hosts its final home game of the year this Wednesday, Nov. 6 against Marist before traveling to Riverdale, N.Y. on Saturday, Nov. 9 to face Manhattan College for the season's final game of the regular season.
Wednesday's game is scheduled to being at 2 p.m. at Niagara Field, while Saturday's contest will start at 1 p.m. from Gaelic Park.

Purple Eagles 101
Niagara heads into the final week of regular season play with a 2-5-1 MAAC record, and a 4-11-1 overall mark. The team currently sits in seventh place in the conference with Canisius and Rider.
The Purple Eagles have 10 players who have pocketed at least one point this season, with junior
Callum Willmott at the top with eight points (three goals, two assists).
Nicholas Watson is one point behind of a pair of goals, and a team-leading three assists while
Jack Welsh,
Nick Garcia and
Julian Ekeze are deadlocked at four points apiece.
Goaltending duties have been taken over by freshman
Brenden Ottman. He owns a 1.06 goals-against average and a .797 save percentage for a 3-7-1 record. Ottman also has a trio of blank slates on the season.
Last Time Out
Niagara was defeated, 2-0, by Monmouth University on Saturday, Nov. 2 in West Long Branch, N.J. The game remained scoreless until the 73rd minute when the Hawks netted a pair of tallies eight minutes apart to pull out the victory.
About Marist
Marist comes into Monteagle Ridge with six points on the season for 11th place in the MAAC with a 3-4-0 conference (3-13-0 overall) record. In its last contest on Nov. 2 Marist dropped a 3-2 decision to Manhattan.
Senior Greg Davis is the team-leader in points with eight (three goals, two assists), while sophomore back Steven Arraiano is not far behind with seven points. He is tied for the team lead in goals (3), and has an assist as well.
Senior goalkeeper Anthony Sokalski has made 81 saves on the season for the Red Foxes, compiling a .704 save percentage and a 2.10 goals-against average.

Wednesday's contest will be the 18th time the two squads will have faced each other, with the Red Foxes holding a 10-7-1 lead since the series began in Sept. 18, 1996. In their last meeting on Oct. 21, 2012, Niagara defeated Marist 2-1 in overtime.
Roberto Fernandez-Andersson scored the game-winning goal in the fifth minute of play in extra time for his first goal of the season.
Scouting Manhattan
Niagara will bus to Riverdale, N.Y. to face the fourth-place squad in the MAAC, for its final game of the regular season. The Jaspers have earned a 4-2-2 MAAC record, going 4-9-2 overall. The Hawks are riding a three game unbeaten streak and are coming off a 3-2 comeback victory over Marist on Nov. 2. The team will play Iona on Wednesday before taking to the field against NU.
Rookie forward Dan Laguna Kennedy leads the charge with a team-high seven goals scored. His 14 points is also a team best, while junior Eugene Heerschapp is second in goals (3) and points (6). Four Manhattan players are tied for the team lead in assists with two.
In goal for the Jaspers is Alex Coates McDowall, who has a 1.71 goals-against average and a .687 save percentage on the season. The freshman goalkeeper also has three shutouts to his name.

Saturday's game will be the 23rd time the two teams will have faced each other and the first time they will have squared off since the 2011 season. On Oct. 16, Manhattan defeated Niagara 1-0 to after the Jaspers jumped out to a quick lead, scoring in the seventh minute. The victory improved Manhattan's all-time series record over NU to 11-9-3
