After finishing a program-long, 11-game road trip, Niagara returns to Dwyer Arena for the first time in two months to host the Army Black Knights this weekend.

Niagara’s 11-game road trip is tied for the longest road trip in the nation this season with Alabama-Huntsville, who was on the road from Nov. 11 to Dec. 17.

How To Catch The Game
Friday's contest between the Purple Eagles and the Black Knights can be seen live in the Buffalo area courtesy of Time Warner Cable Sports Net. Fans wishing to tune in can catch the game on channel 13 (Standard Definition) or channel 713 (HD). Fans can also catch the game on Time Warner Cable Sports Net in the Manhattan/New York City/Hudson Valley region (channel 1098).

Niagara's games against Army will be also be broadcast on WJJL 1440 AM. Every game, including Niagara's games against Army can also be heard via Niagara All-Access for free, under the Multimedia tab of PurpleEagles.com.

Tickets Still Available!

Seats are still available for both games this weekend, as Niagara plays at Dwyer Arena for the first time since Nov. 15.

Get To Know Your Foe: Army
The Army Black Knights are 2-11-6, with a 1-9-4 AHA record. The Black Knights are currently in 11th place out of 12 teams in the AHA.

The Black Knights are led by junior Andy Starczewski (8-4-12) and senior Mike Hull (5-6-11). Also providing depth for Army is freshman Maurice Alvarez (4-4-8) and senior Danny Colvin (1-7-8).

Junior Ryan Leets will likely earn the nod to play between the pipes, earning a 2-7-3 record with a 3.17 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage.

Last Time Vs. Army
Niagara allowed four unanswered goals, en route to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of the Army Black Knights on Nov. 27, 2010.

Bryan Haczyk gave Niagara a 1-0 lead in the first period, before the Black Knights scored four straight to win the game.

Founding Members
The Purple Eagles and Black Knights were both founding members of College Hockey of America, back in the 1999-00 season. Niagara is 3-1-0 against Army in conference contests, going 2-0-0 against the Black Knights while in the CHA and have split a pair of games while members of the Atlantic Hockey Association (AHA).

Success At Dwyer Arena
Niagara is 2-0-0 against the Army Black Knights at Dwyer Arena. The Purple Eagles defeated the Black Knights by scores of 5-4 and 4-2 in October 2001. Army hasn’t been back to Dwyer Arena since 2001.

Games Against The Service Academies
Since the 2002-03 season, the Purple Eagles are 15-7-0 against teams representing the Service Academies (Army & Air Force), going 6-3-0 at home in those games.

Burkholder’s First
Niagara head coach Dave Burkholder picked up his first career win against Army, on Oct. 19, 2001. The Purple Eagles defeated the Black Knights by a 5-4 margin in overtime.

Playing The Percentages
Niagara is one of six teams that had two goalies ranked in the top 40 nationally in save percentage, with Canisius, Ferris State, Michigan State, Northern Michigan and Robert Morris.

Chris Noonan is in 28th place nationally with a .917 save percentage, while Cody Campbell is in 38th place nationally with a .913 save percentage.
