Road Swing Concludes
Niagara will play at the St. Francis (Pa.) Red Flash on Monday at 7 p.m. to wrap up its early season five-game road trip.
The Purple Eagles (2-3) return to the northeast after three games in Macon, Ga. where Niagara completed play in the College Basketball Experience (CBE) Classic. NU went 1-2 in the Macon Subregional and finished the classic on high note by holding off Sam Houston State, 59-52, on Wednesday.
Niagara will meet the Red Flash for the 19th time, but the first time since Nov. 27 2000; the Purple Eagles won 79-61 in the final game of the Nova Scotia Sports Heritage Classic. The all-time series is tied at 9-9.
- Five of NU’s first six games are away from home. The Purple Eagles’ next home game will be their conference opener versus Fairfield on Dec. 2.

Antoine Mason was named to the CBE Classic Macon Subregional All-Tournament Team. Mason led the team in scoring (20.3 ppg) and rebounding (5.7 rpg) in the three games.
- Mason (16.6 ppg) and Green (16.4) rank sixth and seventh, respectively, in scoring in the conference. Niagara, Loyola and Iona are the only teams with at least two players in the top 10.

Juan'ya Green and Antoine Mason are the only two players who have scored in double figures in every game this season.

- Juan’ya Green is second in the conference in minutes per game (37.4 mpg).

St. Francis is 0-5 on the season, including a one-point setback against Youngstown State in its last game. Sophomore Scott Eatherton leads the team in scoring (11.2 ppg) and rebounding (4.6 rpg.)
Against the Red Flash (Tied 9-9)
The Niagara/St. Francis series dates back to the 1921-22 season. The teams have played each other 18 times with the honors even. The Purple Eagles have won the last two meetings, both under
Joe Mihalich, in 1999 and 2000.
Against the NEC
Niagara is 40-28 all-time versus the Northeast Conference. The Purple Eagles opened the season with a win over Central Connecticut State and will play at Quinnipiac on Dec. 22.
Mason Named To All-Tourney Team
Antoine Mason was named to the CBE Classic Macon Subregional All-Tournament Team. Mason led the team in scoring (20.3 ppg) and rebounding (5.7 rpg), while picking up 2.0 steals per game in the three games. Mason scored a career-high 26 points versus South Dakota State, career-best three assists against Mercer and career-high three steals versus Sam Houston State.
Green In The Clutch
Freshman Juan’ya Green connected on the go-ahead 3-pointer to give NU a 53-50 lead with 4:59 left in the NU’s win versus Sam Houston State. Green led all scorers with 20 points, including making a pair of free throws in the final minute, and had a career-high and game-high five steals.
Double Trouble
Guards Juan’ya Green and Antoine Mason have been lighting up the scoreboard for NU. The pair has recorded double figures in every game this season and each ranks in the top 10 in scoring in the MAAC.
Block Party
Niagara leads the MAAC in blocks per game with 4.4 per contest.
Scooter Gillette, who has tied his career-high of three blocks twice this season, leads the team and is fifth in the MAAC with 1.6 bpg.
