SYRACUSE, N.Y - The Niagara women's lacrosse team (3-4; 0-0 MAAC) fell into a hole that they couldn't dig out of, losing 13-7 to the LeMoyne Dolphins (4-4) on Tuesday night.

Within the first 10 minutes of the game the Dolphins surged out to a 3-0 lead, before Niagara used three consecutive goals, two from the stick of senior Vanessa Schultz (Clarence, N.Y.) to tie the game. LeMoyne would then utilize a 5-1 run through the rest of the first half for an 8-4 halftime lead.

The second half started well for the Purple Eagles, when Schultz added her game-high fourth goal of the game to cut the lead to 8-5. The Dolphins would respond by scoring twice in a 27 second span to take a 10-5 lead, with the home team outscoring Niagara 3-2 the rest of the way for the final result.

Niagara is back in action on Thursday, when they host Gannon at 4 pm.
