BUFFALO, N.Y. – The lacrosse team (0-2) dropped its second contest of the season to Robert Morris (3-4), Friday, in snowy conditions at Demske Sports Complex in Buffalo, N.Y. The Colonials jumped out to a 9-2 lead at halftime and held on for the 15-7 victory.
The Purple Eagles were led by senior Lindsay Hamann (Camillus, N.Y.) and junior Emma Harrison-Lee (Buckhorn, Ont.). Both attackers totaled a goal and two assists in the loss.
Sophomore Natalie Titerence (Alexandra, Va.) tallied a pair of second-half goals for her first two scores of the year.
Sophomores Vanessa Schultz (Clarence, N.Y.), Karley Reynolds (Auburn, N.Y.) and freshman Leigh Downing (Auburn, N.Y.) also scored for Niagara.
Jennifer Collins and Ashley Levering each had five points for RMU, as Collins had four goals to Levering’s two.
Junior Kristen Engel (Plainview, N.Y.) made 14 saves in the loss for Niagara.
The Purple Eagles return to action, March 18, at Demske Sports Complex in a game against St. Francis (Pa.) at noon.
