NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- In its final regular-season game of the year, the Niagara University men’s basketball team (18-11, 12-5) can lock up the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament when it hosts Rider University (15-13, 9-8) today at 1 p.m. in the legendary Taps Gallagher Center.
The game will be broadcast live on Niagara University’s official sports website, www.PurpleEagles.com, and WJJL (1440 AM).
The Purple Eagles enter the game having won their seventh consecutive game with a 73-71 victory over Loyola Friday.
The Broncs snapped a two-game losing streak with an 81-72 win at Canisius Friday.
Today’s game is the 23rd meeting between the two teams, and Niagara leads the all-time series, 14-8.
