NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- Riding its longest winning streak in over two years, the Niagara University men’s basketball team (17-11, 11-5) hosts Loyola College (16-11, 11-5) Friday at 7 p.m. in the legendary Taps Gallagher Center in a showdown with postseason implications.
The game will be broadcast live on Niagara University’s official sports website, www.PurpleEagles.com, and WJJL (1440 AM).
The Purple Eagles enter the game having won their sixth consecutive game with a 90-81 non-conference victory over Liberty Feb. 17.
The Greyhounds bring a modest two-game winning streak into Friday’s game after beating Tennessee State, 62-60, on Feb. 17.
Friday’s game is the 39th meeting between the two teams, and Niagara leads the all-time series, 24-14.
