NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- Riding a two-game winning streak, the Niagara University men’s basketball team (6-7, 1-1) returns to its Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference schedule when it hosts Saint Peter’s at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the legendary Taps Gallagher Center.

The Purple Eagles enter Wednesday’s game on a modest winning streak after beating La Salle, 88-82, in the La Salle Explorer Invitational Dec. 30.

Saint Peter’s is on a four-game losing streak after Long Island beat the Peacocks, 72-61, Jan. 31.

Wednesday’s game is the 61st meeting between the two teams, and Niagara leads the all-time series, 36-24.
