NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- The high-scoring Niagara University men’s basketball team (8-9, 3-3) brings its streak of five 80-plus point games to Lawrenceville, N.J., where it takes on Rider University (10-6, 4-2) at 2 p.m. today.
The game will be broadcast live on Niagara University’s official sports website, www.PurpleEagles.com, and tape delayed to 5 p.m. on WJJL (1440 AM).
The Purple Eagles, who have averaged 87.4 points per game in their last five outings, lost a heartbreaking 96-95 overtime game at Loyola Friday.
The Broncs enter the game with a modest two-game winning streak after just edging Farifield, 64-63, Friday.
Today’s game is the 22nd meeting between the two teams, and Niagara leads the all-time series, 13-8.
