NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- "The Magnificent Seven" of the Niagara University men’s basketball team (8-12, 5-7) will try to win their third consecutive game of the season today when they meet Fairfield University (7-13, 5-7) in a 3:30 p.m. game at Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, Conn.

The Purple Eagles, who are in a tie for fifth place in the league with the Stags and Loyola, are coming off a 67-51 victory at Manhattan on Friday night. It was the first time since 2001 that Niagara won in Draddy Gym.

Fairfield enters the game on a winning note after beating last place Rider, 77-69 in overtime, Friday.
