NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- With seeding in the upcoming 2006 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship on the line this week, the Niagara University men’s basketball team (10-15, 7-9) plays its final two regular-season games on the road. The first stop is Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Thursday when it plays Marist College (16-9, 10-6) at 7:15 p.m. in a MAAC TV game in the McCann Center.

Sitting in a tie for sixth place in the league, the Purple Eagles enter the contest looking to snap a two-game losing streak. In its last non-conference game of the season on Feb. 18, Niagara lost an 88-82 game at Valparaiso.
