NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- Looking to end a few streaks, the Niagara University men’s basketball team (1-5) welcomes Big East member and longtime rival St. John’s University (5-3) to the legendary Taps Gallagher Center for a 4 p.m. game Saturday.

The Purple Eagles look to rebound from an 81-69 loss at Siena Wednesday. The Red Storm enter the contest with a three-game winning streak after beating St. Francis (N.Y.), 59-42, Tuesday.

Saturday’s game is the 97th meeting between the two teams, and St. John’s leads the all-time series, 71-25.
