NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- Let the games begin! The Niagara University men’s basketball team (1-4) opens its 18th season in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Wednesday when it travels to Albany to play Siena College (3-3) at 7 p.m. in the Pepsi Center.
The game can be heard live on WJJL (1440 AM) and on Niagara University’s official sports website, www.PurpleEagles.com. It can also be seen tape delay on Time Warner Cable Channel 13 Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at noon and 7 p.m.
The Purple Eagles look to rebound from a 74-62 loss at Buffalo Dec. 2. The Saints enter the contest on a winning note after beating city rival Albany, 76-75 in double overtime, Dec. 2.
Wednesday’s game is the 79th meeting between the two teams, and the all-time series is tied a 39-39.
