NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- Looking for its first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference win of the season, the Niagara University men’s basketball team (2-6, 0-1) travels to New Rochelle, N.Y., to meet defending league champion Iona College Tuesday for a 7:30 p.m. game in the Hynes Athletics Center.

The Purple Eagles snapped a three-game losing streak Dec. 16 with a 78-74 victory over Duquesne University, while Iona is still winless on the season after dropping a 66-51 game at Rutgers Dec. 16.
Tuesday’s game is the 58th meeting between the two teams, and Iona leads the all-time series, 30-27.
