NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- The Niagara University men’s basketball team (6-10, 3-5) looks to regroup and come out of this weekend’s two-game road swing with a 1-1 record after tonight’s 5 p.m. rematch with Saint Peter’s College (7-9, 3-4) in the Yanitelli Center in Jersey City, N.J.

The Purple Eagles had their three-game winning streak snapped with a 78-70 loss at Rider on Friday night. The loss put them in a tie with Canisius for seventh place in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference standings.

Saint Peter’s, who has been idle since a 77-69 loss at Siena on Thursday, is winless in its last four games. The Peacocks sit in a tie with Siena for fifth place in the league standings.

Tonight’s game can be heard live on WJJL (1440 AM) and on Niagara University’s official sports website, www.PurpleEagles.com.
