NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- Back in the hunt for fourth place in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference standings, the Niagara University men’s basketball team (6-9, 3-4) continues its three-game road swing with a 7:30 p.m. game vs. Rider University (4-10, 0-6) Friday in Lawrenceville, N.J.
The Purple Eagles enter Friday’s game in a four-way tie for fifth place and a half game behind Saint Peter’s, who Niagara faces Sunday.
In their last outing, the Purple Eagles captured their third consecutive win with a 93-84 victory Tuesday over cross-town rival Canisius.
Rider is bogged down in a six-game losing streak after dropping an 89-66 game to Marist on Jan. 15.
