NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- Riding its first two-game winning streak since the start of the season, the Niagara University men’s basketball team (5-9, 2-4) takes its show on the road when it plays three games in seven days. First up for the Purple Eagles is cross-town rival Canisius College (3-3, 4-10) Tuesday at 7 p.m. on ESPNU.

The Purple Eagles enter the bragging right’s game as winners in their last two outings. They earned a series split with Loyola College on Jan. 14 with a 75-72 victory in the legendary Taps Gallagher Center.

Long-time rival Canisius enters the game on a losing note after dropping an 88-73 game to Iona College in the Koessler Center on Jan. 14.

Tuesday’s game will be broadcast live on ESPNU. The game can also be heard live on WJJL (1440 AM) and on Niagara University’s official sports website, www.PurpleEagles.com.
