NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- The Niagara University men’s basketball team (13-6, 8-3) continues a three-game home stand when its hosts Marist College (10-9, 7-3) Saturday at 4 p.m. in the legendary Taps Gallagher Center.
The Purple Eagles are now a half a game out of first place, along with Fairfield, in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference standings after they defeated Loyola, 84-73, on Jan. 30.
Niagara will be protecting a pair of winning streaks Saturday. It has won its last four outings and its 14-game home winning streak is the 11th longest in the country
Marist had its six-game winning streak snapped, and has lost its last two games, including a 71-57 loss at Saint Peter’s on Monday.
