NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- Let the games begin! The Niagara University men’s basketball team (2-3) opens its 17th season in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play Friday when it hosts Siena College (3-2) at 7 p.m. in the legendary Taps Gallagher Center.

The game can be heard live on WJJL (1440 AM) and on Niagara University’s official sports website, www.PurpleEagles.com. The game will also be broadcast on Adelphia Cable Ch. 13 on Saturday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m.

The Purple Eagles look to rebound from their 68-59 loss to Buffalo Dec. 3, while the Saints extended their winning streak to three games with an 82-74 overtime victory vs. Albany the same night.

Niagara leads the all-time series, 39-37.
