NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- Coming off a 2005 NCAA Tournament appearance and a 20-win season, the Niagara University Purple Eagles are ready to open their 100th basketball campaign Friday at 7 p.m. against Binghamton University at the Events Center in Binghamton, N.Y.

The game can be heard live on WJJL (1440 AM) and on Niagara University’s official sports website at www.PurpleEagles.com.

The Purple Eagles, 20-10 last season, open the season on the road for the second consecutive year and the second time in four years. Binghamton opens the season at home for the first time since 2002-03.
