NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- The Niagara University men’s basketball team (9-5, 4-2) will look to erase a two-game road losing streak tonight when it meets Marist College (7-7-, 4-1) at 7:30 p.m. in the McCann Center in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
The Purple Eagles enter the game with a two-game losing streak on the road. The last time Niagara won away from the friendly confines of the Gallagher Center was Dec. 20 when it beat Big Four rival St. Bonaventure, 111-75.
Niagara lost the first game of its two-game road swing, 78-72, to Manhattan on Thursday. The loss dropped the Purple Eagles into fourth place in the latest Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference standings behind Rider (4-0), Fairfield (4-1) and Marist (4-1).
Marist won its third consecutive game with a 63-49 victory at Loyola on Wednesday.
