Men's Basketball Team Hosts Fairfield This Afternoon

NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- Riding a four-game home winning streak, the Niagara University men’s basketball team (14-6, 8-3) faces Fairfield (13-8, 6-4) this afternoon in the Gallagher Center at 3 p.m.

The Purple Eagles enter the contest on a two-game winning streak after rolling past Marist, 87-51, Friday night.

Fairfield is also boasting a winning streak, four in a row, after beating Canisius, 67-63, Friday evening.

Niagara leads the all-time series with Fairfield, 26-15, and the Purple Eagles have a four-game winning streak in the series.

The game will be televised tape delay on Lockport Cable and it can be heard live on WJJL (1440 AM) or on Niagara University’s official website at www.PurpleEagles.com.
