NIAGARA UN., N.Y. -- After posting a 5-3 non-conference record, the Niagara University men’s basketball team (6-4, 1-1) returns to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play when it hosts Fairfield (5-4, 2-0) Thursday in the Gallagher Center.
The Purple Eagles will be protecting an eight-game home winning streak, including a 4-0 mark in the Gallagher Center this season.
Niagara looks to rebound from a heart-breaking 76-74 loss at Bucknell on Dec. 22.
Senior Alvin Cruz led four players in double figures with a season- and game-high 21 points.
Fairfield snapped a two-game losing streak with a 68-53 victory vs. Harvard on Dec. 14. The Stags have been idle since the win.
