Women’s Soccer Completes the Comeback against Mercyhurst

Three second half goals led Niagara women's soccer to a 3-2 victory over Mercyhurst at Saxon Stadium in Erie, P.A.
 
The Purple Eagles improve their record to 3-0 while the Lakers fall to 0-4-1.
 
The Lakers opened the scoring in the 48th minute of play but thanks to the Ancaster, Ontario native Caitlyn Gratton tied the game at one in the 53rd minute.
 
Niagara doubled their lead courtesy of Gratton who went on to score a brace in the 63rd minute of the game. Junior Caitlyn Grady added the Purple Eagles third goal just two minutes later in the 65th minute.
 
Mercyhurst attempted to climb back into the contest scoring with just 36 seconds left in the match.
 
Niagara goalkeeper Julia Poissant played 83:46 minutes of the game recording three saves and only letting one get by. Freshman Grace Janish played the remaining 6:14 of the match allowing one goal.
