ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Niagara women's bowling finished second at the Redhawk Roc City Classic hosted by Roberts Wesleyan Saturday afternoon.
Emily Brock led Niagara with a total pinfall of 938, followed by
Kate Ackerman at 725, helping NU to a 4-1 record over five traditional matches.
Game 1: Niagara 893, Hilbert 766
The Purple Eagles topped WNY-foe Hilbert 893-766 behind
Abbie Derby's 243 performance. Brock finished with a 199.
Game 2: Niagara 836, Daemen 832
Niagara narrowly defeated Daemen in its second game of the day. The Purple Eagles were led by
Taylor Strickland who posted a 187, followed by
Jocelyn Smith at 171 and Brock at 170.
Game 3: Niagara 852, Penn State Behrend 896
The Purple and White suffered their lone loss of the day to Penn State Behrend by 44-pins. Ackerman led Niagara with a 196.
Game 4: Niagara 956, D'Youville 872
Niagara bounced-back with an 84-pin win over the Saints. J. Smith led the Purple Eagles with a 235 while Brock followed with a 204.
Game 5: Niagara 901, William Smith 820
Niagara finished the day with a 61-pin win over William Smith. Ackerman posted a team-best score of 199 in the final game.
