How it Happened
Williamson went 6-of-11 from the field and hit 6-of-7 free throws for the Purple Eagles (10-17, 5-11 MAAC), who trailed by as many as 13 points in the second half before mounting a late comeback.

Olumide Adelodun added 13 points and 13 rebounds for Niagara, which outscored Marist 37-33 in the second half but couldn't overcome a seven-point halftime deficit.

The Purple Eagles pulled within three points in the final minute after a Williamson layup, but ran out of time in their bid to complete the comeback.

Josh Pascarelli led Marist (20-5, 13-3) with 22 points, including several key baskets down the stretch to help secure the Red Foxes' victory.

Niagara shot 42.6 percent from the field but struggled from 3-point range, hitting just 5-of-21 attempts. The Purple Eagles controlled the paint, outscoring Marist 34-28 inside, but were outrebounded 41-35.
