Niagara University, N.Y. – Men's and Women's Swimming dropped their dual meet against Binghamton with a score 119-175 for the men and 125-169 for the women at Binghamton University in Vestal N.Y.
On the men's side
Vilem Mikula won the 100 Backstroke with a time of 52.11.
Lance Cruz was victorious three times in the 100 Breaststroke, 200 Breaststroke and the 200 IM with times of 58.22, 2:06.66 and 1:54.18.
Alex Subotich won the 100 Butterfly and the 200 Butterfly with times of 52.13 and 1:57.25.
The men had a 1-2-3 finish in the 100 Backstroke with Mikula,
Nelson Maier and
Owen Stoneburgh. The Purple Eagles also recorded a 1-2 finish in the 200 Butterfly with Subotich and
Ethan Hunter. Niagara tallied a 1-2-4 finish in the 200 Breaststroke lead by Cruz,
Thomas Latimer and
Jake Lauzonis.
On the women's side
Natalie Killion won the 200 Freestyle and 200 Backstroke with times of 1:53.71 and 2:03.36.
Martina Divis finished in the top spot of the 1000 Freestyle (10:34.14) and in the 500 Freestyle (5:09.03).
Alaina Pitton finished first in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:04.33.
Mary Carl won the 200 Butterfly with a time of 2:09.37. Lastly, the quartet of
Megan Jackson,
Claire Gorton, Killion and Pitton won the 200 Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:38.35
The women saw highlights from Killion who recorded the pool recorded in the 200 Backstroke. The Purple Eagles also recorded 1-2-3 finish in the 500 with Divis, Carl and
Lilly Georgieva rounding out the trio. Georgieva rounded out the meet finishing in 2nd place in the 1000 Freestyle and 3rd in the 500 Freestyle.
