Day two picked up with the 100 free, and the action was hot off the start. In a race to the finish,
Megan Jackson got a third-place finish, and Gorton snagged fifth. The men's race saw a dominant back half by Jura, outsplitting the field in the second 50 by half a second. From the heat before,
Nate Eaton took second. Dalinis continued to impress in sprint land with another top eight finish at seventh. Â
Â
The women would get back to their winning ways with Killion swimming a consistent race to be first. Sophomore
Keegan Near would break her way into the top eight with a seventh-place effort. Continuing the backstroke momentum, the men got four guys into the top 8. Mikula, Brock Stoneburgh, and Levine (2,3,5,8) grew the men's team lead. Helping with the scoring were Narmandak (12) and D'Anna (14). Â
Â
The 200 Breast saw great swims from Bodyl and Vo to be seventh and eighth. Pitton took charge to finish leading the whole way to victory. For the men,
Thomas Latimer led the charge to fourth and was the highest Purple Eagle finisher.Â
 Â
For the 500, the Women's distance group put on a show again. They took six of the top eight spots. Killion led the way with a win, while Carl (3rd), Divis (4th), Gilbert (5th), Gorton (7th), and Georgieva (8th) all showed off. Â
The men faced more competition than the mile the day prior. Jordan Grab used a controlled start and strong back half to be fourth.
James Coyne snuck under the five-minute mark. Bojanic, Osterwise, and Dalinis went on to grab points. Â
Â
In the 100 Fly, Captain Mary Carl took fifth, with
Megan Jackson in tenth in an untraditional event for her. The men had
Jura Domanovac once again win the final heat and grab second overall. Besides him, the Purple Eagles put up five other scorers in the event. The women stacked up the 200 IM with Bodyl, Fridman, Peron, and Pitton in eighth, sixth, second, and first. The men followed this up with four of their own in the top eight.Â
 Â
The day ended with an exciting 400 Free Relay. For the women, they took the lead on the first exchange and never looked back. Dashing the hopes of the Colgate faithful, the squad of Killion, Jackson, Gorton, and Pitton would remain steadfast to hold off the charge from the Raiders women's team and touch first at (3.33.33). Â
Â
For the men, a close battle saw them take second just behind UMass in an exciting race. The Purple Eagles and Minutemen A relay (Eaton, Domanovac, Dalinis, Mikula) withstood a strong early push from LeMoyne. Holding their own, the Purple and White just got beat on the last touch by UMass. The Niagara B relay of Levine, Jones, Brock, and Hunter would outswim the other B relays and grab a fifth-place finish. Despite the men only grabbing two golds, their depth shinned as they would grow their day 1 lead and hold off a charging and hungry UMass team.Â
