NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. - Niagara demonstrated its offensive prowess in a commanding 6-3 victory over Mercyhurst, with five different Purple Eagles finding the back of the net, including
Tyler Wallace with two goals.

How it Happened
The Purple Eagles established control early, scoring three goals in the first period. Prohorenkovs opened the scoring with a power-play goal at 5:12, assisted by
Noah Hackett and
Trevor Hoskin. Hoskin then extended the lead at 12:58, with Prohorenkovs and
Jay Ahearn providing the assists. Hackett closed out the period with another power-play goal at 19:01, with
Alex Murray and
Andy Reist contributing assists.

Niagara (12-10-3, 10-5-2 AHA) continued their offensive surge in the second period, with Ahearn scoring what would prove to be the game-winning goal at 5:00, assisted by Murray and Hoskin. Wallace added his first goal of the night at 18:38, with
Shane Ott and
Ray Murakami assisting.

Wallace added his second goal of the night while the Mercyhurst (3-20-3, 3-13-2 AHA) goaltender was out of the net with 1:06 left in regulation.

Pierce Charleson delivered a solid performance in goal, making 26 saves on 29 shots (.897 save percentage). The Purple Eagles' special teams excelled, converting 2-of-7 power-play opportunities while successfully defending against multiple Mercyhurst advantages.

The Lakers were led by Steven Agriogianis, who registered a hat trick.
