Five Score Double Figures In Niagara Win

NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. - Five players scored in double figures as Niagara pulled away in the second half for an 88-69 victory over Le Moyne on Sunday afternoon at the Gallagher Center.
 
How it Happened
Jaeden Marshall led a balanced Purple Eagles attack with 21 points, including four 3-pointers. Justice Smith added 15 points off the bench, while Jahari Williamson and Zion Russell each contributed 11 points for Niagara (6-7).
 
Leading 42-36 at halftime, Niagara used a 13-0 run midway through the second half to build a 20-point advantage at 63-43. The Purple Eagles shot 50 percent from the field in the second half and dominated inside, outscoring Le Moyne 38-28 in the paint.
 
Josiah Davis nearly had a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds, while also recording five steals and five assists for the Purple Eagles.
 
AJ Dancler led Le Moyne (5-10) with 17 points in the loss.
 
Niagara's bench outscored Le Moyne's reserves 55-24 and the Purple Eagles converted 20 Le Moyne turnovers into 20 points.

• Niagara is 8-0 all-time against Le Moyne.
• NU's 14 steals was a season-high for the Purple Eagles, and their first game with 14 or more steals since forcing 16 vs. Brown exactly 11 years ago (Dec. 29, 2013).
