FAIRFIELD, Conn.  — 
Kinga Wronska posted a team-high 14 kills, but Niagara volleyball fell to MAAC-leading Fairfield in four sets (18-25, 25-17, 20-25, 14-25) on Sunday afternoon at Leo D. Mahoney Arena.
 
How it Happened
The Purple Eagles (13-14, 9-7 MAAC) struggled to find consistency on offense, hitting just .173 for the match despite a strong second set that saw them even the score at one set apiece. Wronska added 12 digs to complete her double-double performance.
 
Laryssa Imbuzeiro and 
Liana Tolliver contributed nine kills each for Niagara, with Imbuzeiro particularly efficient at .412 hitting percentage. 
Kylie Blessing and 
Noel Perkins directed the offense with 15 and 19 assists, respectively.
 
After dropping the opening set, Niagara showed resilience in the second frame, hitting a match-best .333 to secure their lone set victory. However, Fairfield (17-11, 15-1 MAAC) controlled the final two sets behind Mamie Krubally's match-high 16 kills.
