Lawrenceville, N.J. – Niagara volleyball drops their first MAAC play game in five sets, 26-24, 22-25, 29-27, 20-25, 11-15, against Rider (5-12, 4-1 MAAC), Niagara moves to (8-8, 4-1 MAAC).
How it Happened
Niagara's offense was led by a stellar performance from
Liana Tolliver, who hammered home 16 kills with a .308 hitting percentage.
Kinga Wronska also made a significant impact, contributing 14 kills.
Junior setter
Kylie Blessing orchestrated the offense effectively, dishing out 22 assists and chipping in two kills. Senior libero
Bella Peroni anchored the back-row defense with 22 digs.
The Purple Eagles' serving game proved to be a key factor, with the team recording 8 aces. Peroni, Blessing, and Imbuzeiro led the charge with 2 aces.
The loss is Niagara's first in league play this season.
