JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Niagara volleyball continued its perfect start in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play, sweeping Saint Peter's 3-0 (25-11, 25-21, 25-16) on Saturday at the Yanitelli Center.
How it Happened
The Purple Eagles (8-7, 4-0 MAAC) dominated the match, led by junior
Sydney Wilkes, who recorded a game-high 11 kills with a .625 hitting percentage.
Laryssa Imbuzeiro added seven kills on a .538 clip, while also contributing five block assists and an ace.
Niagara's offense was firing on all cylinders, hitting .340 as a team compared to Saint Peter's .060.
Paisley Ka'ahanui orchestrated the attack with 20 assists, while
Kylie Blessing chipped in 14.
Defensively, the Purple Eagles were equally impressive, out-blocking the Peacocks 10-1.
Bella Peroni anchored the back row with a match-high 11 digs.
The win keeps Niagara undefeated in conference play.

• Saturday's game was the 56th meeting all-time between Niagara and Saint Peter's, with the Purple and White taking a 34-22 series lead.
• The Purple and White now have 20 matches in a row against SPU, including 10-straight sets.

• Imbuzeiro once again led NU in blocks with five, moving her career total to 376, 23 behind Alex Stone for third all-time.
