HAMDEN, Conn. — Quinnipiac (7-2-1, 4-0-0 MAAC) defeated Niagara (5-4-1, 1-3-1 MAAC) with a 2-0 victory over Niagara on Saturday afternoon in MAAC women's soccer action.
How it Happened
Klara Bengtsson opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, assisted by Ella Gagno and Courtney Chochol. Molly Andrews doubled Quinnipiac's lead in the 73rd minute, sealing the win for the home team.
Niagara's best chance came early in the second half when
Morgan Kulniszewski forced a save from Quinnipiac goalkeeper Sofia Lospinoso.
The Bobcats' defense held firm throughout, with Lospinoso recording three saves for her clean sheet. Niagara's goalkeeper,
Maddie Crosbie made seven saves in the losing effort.
