NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. - The Niagara Purple Eagles fought to a 0-0 draw against the visiting Saint Peter's Peacocks in a defensive battle at Niagara Field on Saturday.

How it Happened
Despite outshooting the Peacocks 17-10, Niagara (5-6-3, 1-5-3 MAAC) couldn't find the back of the net. The Purple Eagles' offense was led by graduate student forward
Emma Bough, who tallied a team-high five shots with two on goal.

Niagara's defense held strong throughout the match, with goalkeeper
Maddie Crosbie recording eight saves to earn her seventh clean sheet of the season.

The Purple Eagles had their best scoring opportunity in the 65th minute when Bough's shot forced a save from Saint Peter's goalkeeper Annabelle Adams. Niagara then crashed the net in the waning minutes, but couldn't break the scoreless tie.
