EMMITSBURG, MD. – Niagara (9-9, 5-3 MAAC) recorded a season-high 12 threes in its 82-71 win over Mount St. Mary's (7-11, 3-4 MAAC) in MAAC men's basketball action from Knott Arena Sunday afternoon.

Four Purple Eagles recorded double figures as
Ahmad Henderson II led the way with a game-high 23 points, going 7-for-15 from the field, including 3-for-6 from behind the arc.
Kwane Marble Jr. came off the bench and scored 13 points on 6-for-7 shooting, followed by
Randy Tucker's season-high 11 points with three triples, and
Dre Bullock with 10 points.
Luke Bumbalough added nine points and seven assists. As a team, Niagara shot 54.7 percent from the field, 66.7 percent from three, and 85.7 percent at the line.

Dakota Lefew and Dalllas Hobbs notched 18 and 12 points, respectively for Mount St. Mary's. The Mount finished the game with a 58.1 percent mark from the field and 83.3 percent mark at the line. Mount St. Mary's was just 1-for-4 from the perimeter. Â

How it Happened
Niagara came out on fire in Sunday's contest with Mount St. Mary's making nine of its first 12 shots, including four from behind the arc, to take a 24-11 lead in the first nine minutes of action on the road. Henderson had eight points in the first nine minutes, while Marble contributed five after checking into the game.

From there, the Purple and White would build its lead to a game-high 18 points, 36-18, following a 12-7 run that saw Niagara make 5-of-7 field goal attempts and Henderson's first-half total to 13.

Mount St. Mary's wouldn't go away without a fight, making it a four-point contest by the end of the first half after a 16-2 run over the final six minutes.

Despite the 1-for-8 mark from the field to end the half, Niagara would go into the break ahead by four, 38-34.

Niagara would find its stroke once again to start the second half as Henderson and Aime Rutaysire made back-to-back threes to spark a 18-12 spurt over the first 10-minutes of the second stanza, that gave the Purple and White a 10-point lead, 56-46.

Tucker would connect on his third three and Bumbalough would score his first two points of the contest to give Niagara its largest lead of the half, 65-50, with 7:11 remaining.

Over the next 4:05 of game action, Mount St. Mary's would trim the Purple Eagle lead to five, 70-65, going a perfect 6-for-6 from the field in the process, while NU was just 2-for-6 during the stretch.

Niagara would score eight of its final 12 points at the line over the final three minutes of action to earn its fourth MAAC road win of the season, 82-71.

• Niagara has now had a 20-point scorer in 11-straight games, dating back to it's Dec. 10 meeting with Buffalo State.
• Tucker set a season-high with 11 points, surpassing his previous season-high of 10 set at home against St. Bonaventure on Dec. 6.
• Marble recorded his seventh game this season and fifth in the last six games with double-digit points.
