Giordano Joins Trenton Thunder of MLB Draft League

Niagara University, N.Y.—Former Niagara outfielder Max Giordano has signed with the MLB Draft League and has been assigned to the Trenton Thunder for the 2023 season.

Giordano closed out his Niagara career with a career season in 2023. He played in 47 games while making 46 starts, mostly in left field for Niagara. He notched a career high .374 batting average which was third best in the MAAC. He also hit a career-high 16 homers which set a new program record for home runs in a season. His 16 round trippers were fourth in the MAAC. He drove in 54 runs which landed him fifth in the MAAC. He also drew 29 walks and was third in the MAAC in on-base percentage at .481.

The native of Lancaster, N.Y. was named First Team All-MAAC at the conclusion of the regular season along with being named First Team ABCA/Rawlings All-Region.

After five seasons with Niagara, Giordano is second in all-time at-bats (672), second in all-time homers (27), and fifth in all-time RBI (127) in Niagara program history.
