Andra Savage and
Lois Garlow each scored four goals to pace Niagara to a 13-5 win over visiting St. Bonaventure (0-1) Saturday afternoon in non-conference women's lacrosse action from Niagara Field.

Jenna Brill also tallied goals in the win.
Jordan Roy and
Emma Mielke split time in goal for Niagara, combining for five saves on ten shots.
Game Recap
First Quarter
• The Purple Eagles got on the board first with a goal less than two minutes in from Brill.
• After Bona evened the score at one less than 30-seconds later, the Purple Eagles rattled off three-straight over the remainder of the opening frame.
• Latray answered back for Niagara, scoring at the 12-minute mark, giving NU the lead, one it would not relinquish.
• Schneider scored Niagara's third goal of the contest with 7:14 to go in the stanza and with 11 seconds to go, Braniecki tallied her lone goal of the afternoon, with the help of Latray.
Second Quarter
• The Purple and White's offensive surge continued to start the second, scoring twice in the first three minutes. Garlow scored her first and second goals of the afternoon, both of which were assisted by Braniecki to put NU up 6-1.
• With 11:09 on the clock, Bona would get one back to make it a 6-2 game.

Rachel Crane would put Niagara back up by five with her first tally of the season with 7:41 to go in the half.
• With the score 7-3 in favor of the Purple Eagles, Savage would score her first of four to give the Purple and White a 8-3 lead heading into the break.
Third Quarter
• Niagara would open the third with a goal from Garlow, giving the senior the natural hat trick and NU a 9-3 lead over Bona.
• The Bonnies would get one back to make it 9-4 at the 7:19 mark of the quarter.
• After seven minutes of scoreless action, Niagara reached double figures with Savage's second goal of the game, this one on a player-up opportunity for Niagara with less than a minute remaining in the frame.
Fourth Quarter
• Savage found the back of the net for the third time, giving NU an 11-4 lead with just over 10-minutes to play.
• St. Bonaventure would pull within six with a goal at the 9:19 mark, their final tally of the contest.
• Savage and Garlow would each get their fourth goals of the contest to give the game its 13-5 final and Niagara the win to open the season.
Niagara Notes
• Niagara improves to 8-9 all-time against St. Bonaventure, while improving to 8-2 in its last 10 meetings.
• The Purple Eagles last won their season opener on Feb. 15 of 2019, a 17-2 win over St. Bonaventure at home.
• Garlow led the team with six points, with four goals and two assists.
• Braniecki and Latray finished with five points apiece after adding one goal and four assists on the afternoon.
• Roy picked up her first win of the season stopping three shots in one half of play.
• Niagara picked up 24 ground balls, with Brill,

Emma Mielke each grabbing three off the turf.
• Four Puprle Eagles generated multiple turnovers as NU finished with 12 on the day.
• Niagara won 13 of the games 21 draw controls.

Niagara will travel to Ypsilanti, Mich., to take on Eastern Michigan on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 12 p.m. The game is the first between the two schools.
