This Week in Niagara Athletics: Sept. 12-Sept. 18

NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, NY – Niagara athletics has six programs in action this week, including men's soccer and volleyball at home Saturday, Sept. 17, and Sunday, Sept. 18.

• Niagara will play two games this week, first a matchup with ACC foe Syracuse on Tuesday, Sep. 13 at 7 p.m., followed by a home game Saturday, Sept. 17 against Cornell at 7 p.m.
• The Purple Eagles went 1-0-1 last week, defeating Stonehill at home and tying Binghamton on the road.

• The Purple Eagles open MAAC play this Saturday when they travel to Hamden, Conn., to take on Quinnipiac for a noon tilt.
• Niagara went 1-1 last week, defeating Akron before falling to Saint Francis (Pa.) on Sunday.

• Niagara will open the home and MAAC portions of its schedule this weekend when it hosts Quinnipiac (Saturday, Sept. 17) and defending MAAC Champion Fairfield (Sunday, Sept. 18) at the Gallagher Center.
• Niagara went 0-3 last week to conclude non-conference action 2-7 overall.

• The Purple and White open the 2022-23 season at the Toledo Invite this Friday, Sept. 16, and Saturday, Sept. 17, in Toledo, Ohio.

• After being rained out at Le Moyne to start the season, Niagara will take on WNY rivals Buffalo and St. Bonaventure this Saturday, Sept. 17, at Buffalo.

Cross Country | Twitter | Instagram | Schedule
• Niagara returns to the course this Saturday, Sept. 17, when it travels to Rochester, N.Y., for the YellowJacket Invitational. The races are set to begin at 11 a.m.

• The MAAC announced the men's and women's basketball conference schedules for the upcoming 2022-23 season.
