Women's Basketball Adds Johnson To Roster

NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – Niagara women's basketball head coach Jada Pierce has announced the addition of Arianna Johnson to the team. Johnson will be eligible to play immediately.

"We are super excited to welcome Arianna to our Purple Eagle family," said Pierce. "Ari is a versatile forward with a great skillset that fits our system on both ends of the floor. She was a major contributor to a very successful program at ASA College in the Bronx. Ari's energy, passion and overall commitment to the game by always putting in extra work in the gym is what attracted us to her. Ari has also shown that same level of commitment to academics. We look forward to Ari being a great addition to the Niagara University community."

Johnson, a native of Grand Rapids, Mich., joins the Purple Eagles from ASA College. During her sophomore season in 2019-20, Johnson played in 19 games and averaged 10.7 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game and 1.2 assists per game. Johnson was a First Team All-Region selection.

Johnson attended Hillcrest High School, where she was an honor roll student.
