COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. – The Niagara men's and women's swimming and diving teams have earned College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team honors for the fall 2020 semester.
"I am extremely proud of this team's hard work in the classroom the past three semesters," said head coach
Eric Bugby. "Both the men and the women have steadily improved their GPAs. It's a testament to their diligence and passion. Given everything going on in the world, in many aspects, the team managed to stay focused on what's important; their academics and progress towards graduation."
Niagara was one of 450 programs across the country that received CSCAA Scholar All-America Team honors.
The Purple Eagles excelled in the classroom in the fall semester, with the women's team earning a 3.51 fall GPA and the men earning a 3.29. Four student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 for the semester.
Founded in 1922, CSCAA is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy and professional development.
