BUFFALO, N.Y. –
Angel Parker has been named the Big 4 Player of the Week for the second time this season, announced on Tuesday.
Parker had a phenomenal weekend for the Purple Eagles as they split a two-game series with Saint Peter's.
Parker was instrumental in Niagara's 83-82 victory over the Peacocks, converting a 3-point play in the final seconds to ice the win for the Purple Eagles. She recorded third double-double of the season with 18 points and a career-high 12 assists. She was just two rebounds (eight) shy of a triple-double.
In game two, Parker led the Purple Eagles in scoring with 21 points. She led the team in assists with five and in steals with three and she brought down seven rebounds.
On the weekend, Parker averaged 19.5 points per game, 7.0 rebounds per game, 8.5 assists per game and 2.5 steals per game.
On the season, Parker is averaging a team-best 14.5 points per game and 7.6 rebounds per game.
The Purple Eagles are back in action with a two-game series versus Quinnipiac Feb. 26-27.
