Purple Eagles Defeated By St. Bonaventure

NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The men's swimming and diving team fell to St. Bonaventure, 169-53, in the final meet of the regular season on Friday. Prior to the meet, the Purple Eagles honored graduating seniors Edgar Melchor and Kevin Verdejo.

Meet Notes
  • Melchor won the 100 breast, finishing the event in 59.52. He placed second in the 100 free with a time of 48.55.
  • The relay team of Dalton Stier, Tyler Prosser, Joshua Bartel and Nicholas Stoll placed first in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:33.02.
  • Stier took third place in the 200 free with a time of 1:49.68.
  • Noah Brooks finished third in the 200 IM with a time of 2:02.42 and third in the 500 free with a time of 4:58.49.
  • Bartel (56.71) finished fourth in the 100 back and Tyler Prosser (58.43) finished fifth.
