EDISON, N.J. – An impressive 162 Niagara University student-athletes have been named to the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, announced on Wednesday.

The 162 Purple Eagles join a conference record 2,478 total MAAC Academic Honor Roll honorees. To be eligible for the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

All of Niagara's 17 sports sponsored by the MAAC were represented on the Academic Honor Roll. Women's lacrosse led the way for the Purple Eagles, with 22 student-athletes being honored. Six other teams (baseball, women's basketball, women's soccer, softball, women's swimming and diving and women's track and field) landed 10 or more student-athletes on the Academic Honor Roll and women's golf had its entire team represented.
