• After closing out January with wins versus Monmouth and Canisius, the Purple Eagles remain in search of their first win in February.
• Niagara's last two games have been decided in the final seconds in narrow defeats at Iona and to Manhattan.
• The Stags got the better of the Purple Eagles in the first meeting this season, defeating Niagara 77-59 at Alumni Hall on January 7.
• Niagara snapped a five-game losing streak to the Stags with a 95-83 win when the teams last met in the Gallagher on February 10, 2018. Niagara's 95 points were the most points scored against Fairfield since February 13, 1999 (W, 95-93).

• Niagara drained a season-high 15 three-pointers at Iona on February 10, which are two shy of tying the program record for 3-pointers in a game. The Purple Eagles have made 10 or more 3-pointers in nine games this season.

James Towns is third in the MAAC in free throw percentage with a career-high 81.0 percent. Towns is also averaging career-high numbers in assists per game (3.9) and in assist/turnover ratio (1.7).
