Dominic Robb led all scorers with 17 points as the Niagara Purple Eagles were edged in the final minute by the Manhattan Jaspers, falling 64-60 on Friday night.

The Purple Eagles outscored Manhattan 22-4 in an eight-minute span which stretched both halves to lead 38-30 with 15:27 left in the game. Niagara took its first lead, 33-30, on a
James Towns 3-pointer as part of the run. Manhattan answered Niagara's 22-4 run with a 9-1 run to tie the game at 39-39 with 12:06 remaining. Neither team would lead by more than four points for the rest of the game as the lead changed five more times.
A
Marvin Prochet 3-pointer gave Niagara a 53-51 lead with 7:42 left; however, it would be Niagara's last lead of the game. Manhattan broke a 57-57 tie with three straight points with two minutes remaining. After a pair of free throws by Robb cut Manhattan's lead to 60-59, the Jaspers answered with two free throws on their next possession.
Niagara had the ball trailing 62-60 with 20 seconds remaining, but Robb's game-tying hook shot in the paint fell short with four seconds left. Manhattan's Tykei Greene grabbed the rebound and made two free throws to seal the game.
Manhattan led for the entire first half, in part to shooting 50 percent (6-for-12) from the 3-point line including making five of its first six attempts. The Jaspers led 26-16 before
NU closed the half on a 10-2 run.
Marcus Hammond started the run with consecutive 3-pointers at the top of the key, followed by a pair of baskets by Robb.

- Dominic Robb scored a game-high 17 points on 7 of 10 shooting, which is a season-high in field goal percentage on a minimum of seven made field goals. He shared team-high marks in rebounds with five and in blocks with two.
- James Towns scored 11 points and had four assists which were tied for game-high honors.
- Marcus Hammond scored nine points on 3-for-3 shooting from the 3-point line.
- Greg King netted nine points in 13 minutes.
