WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Purple Eagles fell to the Howard Bison, 91-42, in the teams' second all-time meeting on Saturday.

Game Recap
First Quarter
  • Threes from Jai Moore and Jordan Edwards tied the score, 6-6, with a little under seven and a half minutes to go in the quarter.
  • Howard went on an 11-0 run, taking a 17-6 lead over NU. Moore added four more points in the quarter, including another trey, and Emerald Ekpiteta had a bucket, but the Bison led, 24-12, going into the second quarter.
Second Quarter
  • Ekpiteta opened scoring for the Purple Eagles in the second quarter, bringing NU within 10 points of Howard, 24-14. The Bison, however, answered with a 17-0 run to extend their lead, 41-14.
  • Ekpiteta added four more points in the quarter. NU trailed Howard, 47-19, at the end of the first half of play.
Third Quarter
  • Moore and Morgan Baughman combined for three early points before the Bison went on a 10-0 run to take a 67-22 lead.
  • Adia Brisker scored seven points in the final four and a half minutes of the third quarter and Moore added another five points but Niagara trailed, 78-36.
Fourth Quarter
  • Brisker and Angel Parker combined for Niagara's six fourth quarter points as the Purple Eagles fell to the Bison, 91-42.

Eagle's Eye On…
  • Moore led the Purple Eagles with 14 points and Ekpiteta added 10 points.
  • Brisker and Edwards led NU with six rebounds each. It was a career-high for Edwards.
  • Olivia Mason led the Purple Eagles with a career-high four steals.
  • Brisker added nine points for the Purple Eagles.
  • Parker had a career-high five rebounds and Baughman also had five rebounds for NU.
