BALTIMORE, Md. – The Purple Eagles closed out non-conference play with an 82-67 win over Coppin State on Tuesday. It was Niagara's highest-scoring game of the season so far.

Game Recap
First Quarter
  • The Purple Eagles went on an early 9-0 run, capped by a 3-pointer from Adia Brisker, to take a 13-3 lead over Coppin State.
  • Five straight points from Angel Parker, including her first career 3-pointer, put Niagara ahead by nine points, 18-9.
  • The Purple Eagles led the Eagles, 22-13, at the end of the first quarter.
Second Quarter
  • Buckers from Parker and Morgan Baughman put NU up by 10, 26-16, with 8:14 left in the quarter.
  • Brisker scored seven straight points for NU, including another trey, to keep Niagara ahead, 33-26.
  • Threes from Baughman and Jordan Edwards and a 3-point play from Emerald Ekpiteta gave Niagara a 42-34 lead going into halftime.
Third Quarter
  • Jai Moore began to heat up in the third quarter, scoring seven points in the first three and a half minutes of the quarter to help NU to a 53-40 lead.
  • A trey from Maggie McIntyre extended Niagara's lead to 16 points, 56-40.
  • McIntyre and Moore both added two more points in the quarter and NU had a 21-point lead, 65-44, going into the final 10 minutes of play.
Fourth Quarter
  • Parker opened scoring for the Purple Eagles in the fourth before Coppin State went on a 12-0 run, coming within nine points of NU's lead, 67-58.
  • Moore, however, dominated for the Purple Eagles the remainder of the quarter, scoring nine of NU's 17 total fourth quarter points.
  • Niagara's defeated the Eagles 82-67.

Eagle's Eye On…
  • Moore led the Purple Eagles in scoring with 18 points.
  • Brisker added a career-high 16 points and led the team in rebounding with eight rebounds and in steals with three.
  • Parker had a career-high 10 points. Davidsdottir also had 10 points.
  • Edwards dished out a team-high five assists.
