HAMDEN, CONN. – The Niagara University women's soccer team lost 3-0 to the Quinnipiac Bobcats on Saturday afternoon.
SYNOPSIS
The Purple Eagles' road struggles continued in their afternoon contest with the Bobcats. Niagara only mustered a few scoring opportunities in the 90 minutes, while Quinnipiac was opportunistic with its chances. The Bobcats scored a crucial goal in the final minute of the first half to lead 2-0. NU had the better of play in the second half, despite Quinnipiac adding a goal late in the half.

Annie Ibey, whose shot is saved and forces a corner kick.

Katelin White was quick off her line to deny Ally Grunstein. However, the Bobcats quickly recovered possession and 28 seconds later, Grunstein played a cross in the box which found Kayla Mingachos who one-time shot found the far post.
44' (goal) – Lauren Wendland sneaks in behind the backline to receive the ball in the box and her pass finds Olivia Scott who shoots in the open net.

Hailey Bicknell chips pass finds Araujo head, but her shot is saved for a corner kick.
82' (goal) – Quinnipiac adds a third, this time on a free kick. Katie Schwartz drives the ball into the box and Emiley Looney gets a touch as the ball goes into the net.

- After going 3-0-1 in the first four meetings, NU has lost the last three encounters with the Bobcats.
